Speech Intervention... What does this mean?

After our initial session we have suggested therapy. This is as their area of concerns may not self correct or may require support to modify to become age appropriate.

For therapy we usually suggest the first 5 sessions to be weekly and then we re-evaluate our progress and may modify our schedule.

We offer many types of therapy at Focus Speech Pathology

The following is a summary of therapies available:

  • Speech/sound therapy (articulation and phonological errors)
  • Language processing and use of language intervention
  • Pre-literacy & literacy screeners and therapy, including reading and spelling
  • Stuttering/Dysfluency
  • Social Communication and Friendships
  • Working with children with specific diagnoses such as Autism, Down Syndrome and ADHD
  • School Readiness
  • AAC device supports and trials
  • Fussy eating and feeding
